NEWS in Space
The first animals intentionally sent into space some fruit flies of America in 1947.
First < b> Primate
The first primate in space was Albert II in 1949. Alberto was a rhesus monkey. Unfortunately, his parachute failed and died.
First rodents NEWS American
mouse went into space in 1950. I think this was the first of rodents in space.
In 1951, two Russian dogs entered the room. Their names were Tsygan and Dezik. These pioneers of spaceflight did not enter the orbit of Earth.
First NEWS Orbit
The first animal to make a complete orbit of the Earth was a Russian dog named Laika. Unfortunately, Laika did not survive the flight.
Many animals died in the early days. The first monkeys to survive spaceflight were Americans. They were called Able and Baker. This was in 1959.
Two dogs went into orbit on 19 August 1960. Not only survived the ordeal, but one of them, Strelka later had puppies. One was given by President of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khruchev, Caroline Kennedy. This dog descendants still exist.
Pilot Spacecraft NEWS
Although these animals entered the space, which did not have much to do. He really knows if it was possible to do the normal things in space. This was important. A pilot must be able to test his art.

On April 12, 1961 Alekseyevich then Major Yuri Gagarin made his historic orbit of the Earth and was hailed as a hero in his safe return. Animals still play an important role in our investigations aliens.
NEWS Felix the Cat
On 31 October 1963, France launched a cat named Felix in space. Felix returned alive.
NEWS first fish April 1972
16, Skylab 3 had Killifish. There were spiders and spider web was first built in space.
NEWS Deep Space
Although animals and humans have survived near Earth, they were still protected to some extent by the magnetic field of our planet. There remained the question of whether we can survive outside of this protection.
First NEWS Tortoise
One of the first animals to return to the Moon was a Russian tortoise Horsfield September 1968 14. He was accompanied on his trip pioneer wine worms and flies.
Water leads NEWS
In September 2007, the European Space Agency sent some tardigrades. This is also a small animal called water bear. These hardy animals survive the vacuum of space unprotected for ten days.
